My New Summer Skirt
I love this fabric! I had some spending money from my b-day and decided to buy a little bit of fabric to sew for myself. This lovely and fun Anna Maria fabric became a skirt. The thing that I love the most about it is that I figured it out without a pattern!!! I think this means that I'm improving as a seamstress! I wanted a skirt that was a little bit nicer than one with an elastic band waist, so I went to work and voila! A couple of hours later I had this! There is just one problem with it as you can see in the last picture, but hey, what can you do?
Tell me, have you made anything for yourself lately?

Oh, I love this fabric too! The skirt is adorable! Everytime I try to make myself something get stuck at fitting the pattern to my body. Thanks for the inspiration. I know I've got to keep trying!
love that skirt. you are so talented!
love this jenny, yes, give yourself a pat on the back for no pattern. I still have a hard time doing that. Love the fabric choice as well.
Such a cute skirt! I love it, and the fabric is so pretty.
That is so cute! I never would have noticed if you didn't point that out...
Love your blog! I am a late follower from Friday Follows - I hope to see you and Dropped Stitches!

LOVE LOVE LOVE that fabric as well! Big Sis's quilt and sham is made from the same design in a different colorway. I find myself staring at it often when I'm in her room. :)
I've done that a gazillion times! Here is a link to the July 4th outfits I made for my daughter and I. http://littleeandco.blogspot.com/
I love that it doesn't match up and that you are willing to share that. I'm sure others will be inspired that sewing doesn't have to be perfect to be good.
