My New Summer Skirt
I love this fabric! I had some spending money from my b-day and decided to buy a little bit of fabric to sew for myself. This lovely and fun Anna Maria fabric became a skirt. The thing that I love the most about it is that I figured it out without a pattern!!! I think this means that I'm improving as a seamstress! I wanted a skirt that was a little bit nicer than one with an elastic band waist, so I went to work and voila! A couple of hours later I had this! There is just one problem with it as you can see in the last picture, but hey, what can you do?

Oh, I love this fabric too! The skirt is adorable! Everytime I try to make myself something get stuck at fitting the pattern to my body. Thanks for the inspiration. I know I've got to keep trying!

love this jenny, yes, give yourself a pat on the back for no pattern. I still have a hard time doing that. Love the fabric choice as well.

LOVE LOVE LOVE that fabric as well! Big Sis's quilt and sham is made from the same design in a different colorway. I find myself staring at it often when I'm in her room. :)

I love that it doesn't match up and that you are willing to share that. I'm sure others will be inspired that sewing doesn't have to be perfect to be good.
