Five Minute Friday: If I Knew I Could, I Would...
Today's prompt at Five Minute Friday is, "If I Knew I Could, I Would...". Five minutes of writing, unedited. Period.
If I knew I could, I would give my family everything that they wanted. I would give my husband the opportunity to write to his hearts content, without guilt. I would give my daughter a ranch out west, full of horses and a desk full of blank books for her to record all of her adventures. I would give my boys a trip to the moon, where all of their thoughts seem to reside. I would concern myself with fulfilling their biggest hopes and dreams. I would watch their joy. I would give them peace. I would give. Like the Giving Tree, I would give everything I had for them so they could build their own "boats" and "houses", just like the boy did in that beloved picture book... and I would be happy.
