Well, I'm stuffed, how about you? I think I ate my weight in turkey, stuffing, and green bean casserole! What a feast! We were in Oklahoma for the holiday and my sister-in-laws birthday. We had a fun time and saw members of the family that we hadn't seen in years. In fact, I hadn't ever met some of my husband's relatives until Saturday. Between travel and getting ready for the trip, I didn't get to create anything new this past week... but I did read an entire book in two days! I haven't done that in a long long time! It was The Hunger Games (Book One), have any of you read it? What did you think? I couldn't put it down! I'm now halfway through Book Two, but I have a feeling it will take me a bit longer to get through once we're at home.
What were your Thanksgiving celebrations like? Did you shop Black Friday? Is your Christmas tree up?Leave a comment and tell me!
Last week we totally smashed the previous record for links at Creative Me Monday by over 50 with 208 links!!! I am in awe that you all continue to come back week to week, but so happy that you do! I can't wait to see more of your holiday projects this week! There wasn't a whole lot of interest in the ornament exchange idea. I don't know if there were enough people to really make it work well... but if you want to send me a handmade ornament I will proudly display it on The Southern Institute Christmas Tree! HA HA HA! (I'm only kind of joking, you all are amazing at crafting!)
This week's featured blog is Melly Sews! While remaking a shirt for a family photo she ended up with this really cute ruffle flower with serged edges (I love the edges and how they contrast with the fabric). I'm wondering how she'll end up using it. Go visit Melly Sews and see her shirt too, it's adorable.

Okay, now it's your turn! Just a few guidelines for linking up. Please:
- Follow The Southern Institute and display the Creative Me Monday button somewhere in your post or on your blog. The button html is at the top of the post. Just copy and paste!
- Don't have anything new? Show us something from your archives...old to you is new to us!
- You can link up as many things as you'd like, the more the better your chances of being the featured link next week!
- Visit at least two other blogs and leave some comment love. We are a community that supports one another, right? Right!
- No shop links please. You can link up a giveaway as long as it's attached to a project that you're linking up.
Don't forget to grab and proudly display the "featured" button if you're project has been in the featured spot on Creative Me Monday.
